President Buhari Departs For Saudi Arabia

His Excellency, President Muhammad Buhari today departed for Saudi Arabia following an invitation from King Salman Bin Abdulaziz, the King of Saudi Arabia.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, The President departed the country with members of his entourage from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport at about 11 am.

Those who were present to bid the president farewell included his Chief of Staff, Malam Abba Kyari; Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT); Acting Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu and other government official.

A statement released by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Malam Garba Shehu, confirmed that President Buhari would perform the Umrah (lesser pilgrimage) while in Saudi Arabia.
